Workers Defense is undertaking a comprehensive study of working conditions among construction workers in Texas. This research study will provide detailed data about workers’ experiences amid Texas’ rapid growth and booming construction industry. WDP’s multi-city research study will build off of the organization’s previous Texas construction worker studies, Build a Better Texas (2012) and Build a Better South (2017). The study will provide updated data on construction working conditions in Texas and will expand on topics such as heat safety and mental health. We hope that the results of the study will support WDP’s efforts to win safer, more dignified working conditions for construction workers.
