Working families' needs are urgent, and the time to act is now.

Working families in Texas have been slammed by yet another crisis.

Your donation to the Power Up Texas Fund will:

Provide direct relief to people at this moment through wellness checks, water, food, and other basic essentials.

Organize and mobilize Texans to understand this was a man-made disaster created by ideologies that cozy up to corporate interests over the wellbeing of our communities.

The Power Up Texas Fund is a 501(c)(4) organization. If you would like to make a 501(c)(3) donation please contact Jennifer Toth-Clary at jennifer@workersdefense.org

Without immediate, inclusive and decisive action by all of us, the impact of this crisis will continue to be devastating

Your support is also critical to ensuring all communities are able to weather the ongoing fallout of power grid failures and emerge with the resources necessary to advance themselves and their families once the dust settles.

We all do better when we all do better.

TCRP believes that legal advocacy and litigation are critical tools to protect and advance the civil rights of everyone in Texas, particularly our State’s most vulnerable populations, and to effect positive and lasting change to law and policy. We believe that by serving the rising social justice movement in Texas with excellent legal representation and bold strategies, we can respond to the needs of the communities we serve.

Texas Organizing Project

The Texas Organizing Project (TOP) , organizes Black and Latino communities in Dallas, Harris, Fort Bend and Bexar counties with the goal of transforming Texas into a state where working people of color have the power and representation they deserve. Our 285,000 members and supporters fight with two fists - 1) organizing around issue-based campaigns, winning tangible improvements for our communities, and 2) mobilizing our members and supporters around electoral campaigns, effectively increasing voter participation in communities that historically have had low voting rates.
